History of the International House London

Founded in 1953 by John and Brita Haycraft, International House London is an educational trust. John and Brita's vision was to raise the standards of language teaching worldwide, an aim which has continued to be central to the organisation ever since.

Over the last fifty years a network of schools affiliated to International House has developed, creating a unique organisation with over 120 schools in more than 40 countries. During this time International House has earned a reputation for excellence in the field of language teaching and teacher training, helping to promote international understanding through education.

Today, International House London trains thousands of students from all over the world and helps language teachers maintain standards of excellence in their teaching.
