Angela Dean

Angela Dean Chair

MA, DPhil
Angela has worked in international finance for over 25 years. As a managing director at Morgan Stanley since 1995, she specialised in technology companies and became Global Head of Technology Research. In 2005, she was appointed Director for Socially Responsible Investment. Angela is a trustee of the Heritage Lottery Fund and a member of Council of King's College London. She has a doctorate in early 17th century politics.

Paul Mason

Paul Mason Vice-chair

MA (Cambridge), FCA
Paul read Music at Cambridge and has pursued a career in the music business and in finance. He was Bursar of St. Clare's, Oxford for 6 years until 2009 and before that Finance Director of the South Bank Centre and a partner in Ernst & Young. He is a Governor of St. Clare's, Oxford, a trustee of the Ouseley Trust and is a Director of the Gloucestershire Credit Union.

Ricard Alonso

Ricard Alonso

Ricard has over 20 years of experience across business operations in Sales, Customer Service and IT with Fortune 500 companies like General Electric and Ingersoll Rand. He specialised in improving the customer experience and increasing profitability and in his last assignment served as Vice President of Sales & Customer Service for the security sector of Ingersoll Rand leading teams in Europe, Middle East, Africa and India. Ricard is Spanish, lives in Belgium and speak English, Spanish, Catalan, French and Italian.

Gavin Dudeney

Gavin Dudeney

Gavin is an award-winning English Language Teaching writer of teacher development books, publishing predominately in the field of teacher education connected with the application of new technologies in the language class. He is a former trustee and director of IATEFL (International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language) and has a long involvement with the International House network, from a CTEFLA course in 1989 through to leading the technical development of the Net Languages project in the early 2000s. Gavin works as an educational technology consultant for a variety of companies and ministries of education globally.

Monica Green

Monica Green

Monica started working in the TEFL industry when she took her CTEFLA course at International House Lisbon in 1985. She has been involved with International House ever since. She started renovating an as yet unfinished ruin in the Portuguese countryside in 1989 and opened an IH school in nearby Torres Vedras with her partner a year later. She is still managing director of the school. After many years on various IH committees, she was appointed Executive Director of the International House World Organisation – a part-time role – in 2008.

Simon Greenall

Simon Greenall

OBE, MA (Oxon)
Simon is an English Language Teaching textbook writer and past president of IATEFL (International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language). He has published many books including exam material, adult and secondary courses, as well as radio for the BBC. Since 2000 he has been co-editor in chief of textbook series for Chinese junior high and senior high schools, and universities. He has given workshops and conference presentations in 45 countries. In the New Year’s Honours list 2013 he was awarded the OBE for services to English Language Teaching.

Philippe Lenoble

Philippe has worked in international finance for over 15 years. He is a managing director in the Infrastructure Investment Group of Goldman Sachs and a member of its Infrastructure Investment Committee. Philippe is a member of the Board of Directors of Sintonia S.p.A., the reference shareholder of listed company Atlantia S.p.A. He also serves as a member of the Shareholders Strategy Committee of Japan Renewable Energy Co., Ltd. and as an observer on the Board of Directors of DONG Energy A/S. Philippe is a CFA charterholder and a member of the Examinations and Education Committee of the CFA Society of the UK. He earned a degree in engineering and management and an additional degree in pedagogy both from the Université Catholique de Louvain (Belgium).

Gillian Murray

Gillian Murray

Gillian took her diploma in Milan in 1986 and spent much of her career in language teaching and educational publishing in Italy. She spent three years in S.E. Asia with Voluntary Service Overseas, working as a trainer and at the Laos Ministry of Education. She is currently Chief Executive of Pilotlight, a UK mentoring charity.

Maggie van Reenen

Maggie van Reenen

Maggie is an independent communications and marketing consultant and has served as an executive and non-executive board member across a range of activities including Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and currently the University of Plymouth. Born and educated in South Africa, her career started in librarianship and has included higher education.

Adrian Underhill

Adrian Underhill

Adrian is a DELTA qualified English language teacher. He works as a consultant, speaker, trainer and author in leadership development, organisational learning and teacher training. Until 1999 Adrian was a teacher, trainer, and director at International House Hastings and is a past president of IATEFL and series editor of Macmillan Books for Teachers.
