IH Trust Scholarships

The IH Trust has a Development Committee that aims to support language teaching and training in the UK and overseas for people who might otherwise not have access to such courses.

The John Haycraft Classroom Exploration Scholarship

Named in memory of the founder of International House, this scholarship aims to encourage teachers to take on small-scale classroom projects to explore learner/learner, learner/teacher interactions in their own lessons.

Scholarship winners receive £1,000 towards project expenses, an IATEFL membership subscription, and some attendance expenses for the IATEFL main conference where they will have the opportunity to present a paper.

Global Reach Scholarship

International House also offers two Global Reach Scholarships in conjunction with IATEFL , to presenters working outside the "cheap flights" area to enable them to attend the UK conference.

Training and Development Scholarship

A further IH Trust Training and Development Scholarship is offered with IATEFL. The aim of this new scholarship is to enable a teacher or trainer working in the private or state sector to present their work to a wider audience at the IATEFL annual conference.
