English UK and the British Council

Working in partnership, English UK and the British Council run Accreditation UK (formerly the English in Britain Accreditation Scheme).

Accreditation UK is a quality assurance scheme for UK based ELT providers like us. It seeks to:-

• Develop and maintain the standard of English language provision for international students delivered by UK institutions
• Accredit English language providers in the UK that meet the scheme’s criteria
• Provide assurance about the quality of English language provision accredited under the scheme to international students and their advisors.

Our English language programmes are regularly inspected by the British Council to ensure that we continue to meet the high standards required for accreditation. In our most recent report, the British Council stated that:

"Points of excellence were noted in general management, academic management, academic resources, teachers’ qualifications, learner training and teaching."
