IH London's Social Programme: December 14 – December 20, 2015

This week at International House London, our Social Programme will be enjoying the festive season at London’s Magical Winter Wonderland. There’s also a planned visit to the London Eye and a Christmas pub crawl in trendy Shoreditch over the weekend.

Some of our highlights for this week:

Monday 14 December– Christmas Carol Concert

Watch the Choir of St Martin-in-the-Fields perform you favourite Christmas carols with tunes such as Jingle Bells , O come all ye faithful  and even the Ave Maria. This famous Choir is well known for its frequent broadcasts on BBC Radio and TV appearances. Entry is Free for this event.

Tuesday 15 December – Winter Wonderland 

Get into the festive spirit as family favourite Winter Wonderland returns to London's Hyde Park. This free-to-enter event includes a host of Christmas-themed fun and activities and a huge Christmas market!

Wednesday 16 December – Charles Dickens Guided Walk

See London through Dickens’s eyes and follow his story from rags to riches. From Oliver Twist, David Copperfield and A Christmas Carol, find out what inspired the world famous novelist to write his timeless classics. Tickets cost £5.

Thursday 17 December – London Eye

Head out to the Coca-Cola London Eye for spectacular views of London 135m above ground. The London Eye has won over 85 awards for national and international tourism, outstanding architectural quality and engineering achievement. Tickets cost £20.00 and we're heading there for IH London at 14:30

Saturday 19 December - Ministry of Sound Nightclub

Spend a night out at the UK’s first super club with music provided by the top DJs in the world. We will be meeting at the venue 22.30 and the club runs until 06.00. Tickets cost £10.00

Sunday 20 December – Christmas Pub Crawl

Get ready for a festive pub crawl around trendy Shoreditch. It’s the season to be jolly and socialise in some of London’s most hip pubs. Tickets cost £10.
