Executive General English (afternoon) is for non-native speakers who use English in a professional environment. It’s ideal if you are looking for an intensive English language course to increase your confidence and vocabulary for both business and social situations.

The maximum group size of this professional English course is six so that the content can be tailored to everyone’s needs. Professional business English teaching is task-based and topics of study are chosen by the group. You might look at telephone conversations, the language for business, or the English vocabulary you need to discuss politics, art, or music.

Studying with people from different nationalities and professions will also increase your cultural awareness.

Course information

• Executive General English (afternoon) runs every weekday from 1.15-4.15. Lessons are 55 minutes each, with a 15 minute break. Total lesson hours per week: 13 hours and 45 minutes.
• There will be activities outside the classroom so you learn how to use English in real-life situations.
• Lower intermediate (CEF B1) is the MINIMUM level of English you need to take this course. Check your level with our online language level test .
• The course can also be supplemented with one-to-one English tuition or a Specialised Professional English programme.
• Minimum entry age is 21 years old.

Visas

If you require a visa, please note that because this course is for less than 15 hours a week, we understand it does not meet the requirements of the United Kingdom Border Agency (UKBA) for a General Student Visa (GSV).

Students can apply for a Student Visitor Visa (SVV) or Extended Student Visitor Visa to attend this course.
