International House London runs a range of development courses for English language teachers working in the UK or overseas. Courses are aimed at non native English speakers who are teaching English as a foreign language, or who want to train to teach English as a second language.
The International House TESOL Certificate is an initial qualification for people training to teach English for the first time. With real-life teaching practice and regular feedback from your trainers, you will learn the practical skills to plan and deliver motivating and engaging lessons.
IH London also runs two-week courses during winter and summer for English language teachers working in the UK or overseas. These development courses are aimed at practicing English teachers who want to improve their teaching communication skills.
There are six courses to choose from ranging from Bringing British Culture to the Classroom to Language Development and Teaching Skills .
Teacher development courses are very practical and interactive, and will give you lots of ideas that you can use in your own classrooms. The maximum group size is 15, and by working alongside other English Language teachers you will also increase your confidence and knowledge of teaching practice.
