Trinity College London/English UK Certificate in International Business English Training
The Certificate in International Business English Training is for people who’ve been teaching English as a foreign language for at least a year and want to start teaching business language courses too. It’s ideal if you already have a first degree and a relevant English teaching certificate. You also need a competence in English equivalent to Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE) or CEF C2.
Course overview
- 50 lessons over two weeks to give you the practical skills and working knowledge for effective business English teaching.
- TCL CertIBET International Business English Training is made up of 10 core modules including: the definition of business English, concepts and language in the business context, needs analysis and research, course and syllabus design, materials and resources, approaches and methods, international English, ELF, cross-cultural awareness in business, teaching oral business communication, and teaching written business communication.
- To gain the Trinity Certificate you need to attend all modules and submit a written assignment (3,000-5,000 words) based on a practical teaching situation.
- Trinity College London and English UK moderate this qualification.
- A relevant English teaching certificate (such as Cambridge CELTA or Trinity CertTESOL) is an admission requirement.
- Lessons run from Monday to Friday between 9.00-12.00 (with a 15 minute break) and 13.15-15.15 (with a 15 minute break). Total lesson hours per week: 22 hours and 55 minutes.
- The minimum age is 18 and the maximum class size is 15 participants.
