Language Development and Teaching Skills is a two-week teacher development course for teachers of English as a foreign language.

Classroom Techniques for English Language Teachers

The course is very practical and you will work in a group of other like-minded English language teachers. This gives you the opportunity to try out different classroom techniques with each other.

Over two weeks we look at a variety of teaching communication skills, from how to build students' confidence to successful ways of teaching grammar. We look at the types of language you can use, and effective classroom management. The course will help you plan stimulating English language lessons for different types of learners.

Language Development and Teaching Skills: Course Information

  • Language Development and Teaching Skills is aimed at teachers whose first language is not is not English. However you do need a good standard of written and spoken English equivalent to the Cambridge First Certificate (FCE) or CEF B2
  • For January start date classes are held from Monday to Friday between 09.00-12.00. For all other courses from Monday to Friday 13.15-16.15.
  • The minimum age is 18 years old and the maximum class size is 18.
