An introduction to British Culture for English Language Teachers
Life in Britain - Bringing Culture to the Classroom is ideal if you teach English as a foreign language overseas. We focus on British culture, to give you a better idea of the music, media, fashion, art, law, politics, film, education and modern literature that is popular in this country.
For English teachers working abroad this course will improve your use of ‘everyday’ English in the classroom, and your understanding of contemporary British culture. It will help you integrate culture when you teach English as a foreign language.
Life in Britain: Course Overview
- Life in Britain - Bringing Culture to the Classroom expands your knowledge of contemporary culture in English-speaking countries, with a focus on Britain.
- The course is aimed at teachers whose first language is not is not English. However you do need an advanced level of competence in English, equivalent to Cambridge Advanced Certificate or CEF C1.
- For January start date classes are held from Monday to Friday between 09.00-12.00. For all other courses from Monday to Friday 13.15-16.15.
- The minimum age is 18 years old and the maximum class size is 18.
