The Survival Programme is designed for those who are complete beginners and wish to study for a short period of time and learn enough practical language to be able to communicate in simple situations when going abroad.

In all classes there is an emphasis on providing useful, relevant language using up-to-date and interesting materials. Students are encouraged to practise the language in class through a range of activities to help build confidence and develop fluency

  • A fast full immersion programme in a small group.
  • Ideal for complete beginners about to travel abroad.
  • Emphasis on communication and cultural differences.
  • Useful and practical language for travelling and socialising.
  • Survival courses in Chinese will cover listening and speaking only. After completing the Survival course you may join the Academic Programme at Beginner level, so that you cover the writing skills from the start.

    To enter into this level no previous knowledge of the language is required. Also recommended to our students who have just finished our 5-week Survival course (once a week option).
