University and College placement assistance
Helping you to achieve the required language level
If English is not your first language, universities and colleges will require proof that your level of English is good enough to enable you to follow their courses. All universities and colleges in Britain accept the Cambridge Proficiency (CPE) certificate and increasingly, the Cambridge Advanced certificate (CAE). Most universities and colleges ask for a band score on the IELTS test (International English Language Testing System). At IH London, we will ensure that you receive thorough preparation for this test to help you achieve the band score that you need.
Finding the right course at the right university or college
Some students have a very clear idea of which degree they want to take and the university or college they wish to attend. However, if you are unsure, our Placement Service Consultant will be available to give advice on these issues.
We have established links with a number of excellent universities and colleges in and around London. This include Queen Mary (University of London), Greenwich School of Management, Oxford Brookes University and Bath Spa University.
The university and college application process
Our Placement Consultant will help you at each stage and will complete the necessary forms with you. There will also be optional session on how to prepare for university and college interviews.
