The Survival Programme is designed for those who are complete beginners and wish to study for a short period of time and learn enough practical language to be able to communicate in simple situations when going abroad.

Course schedule: 18:30 - 20:30 Mondays
Group size: 14 maximum
Minimum age: 16 years old

  • Study a different topic every lesson
  • Learn 5 topics in 5 lessons
  • Emphasis on oral communication and cultural differences
  • Useful and practical language for travelling and socialising
  • After completing the Survival course you may join the Academic Programme at Beginner level. Survival courses in Japanese will cover listening and speaking only, writing skills are covered in the Academic Programme.

    To enter into this level no previous knowledge of the language is required. Recommended to students who have just completed our 5-week Survival course (once a week option).
