Cambridge Examinations Evening Course - CAE

Our Cambridge Examinations Evening Courses are designed for long-stay students or people living and working in London. The course fee INCLUDES the cost of your Cambridge exam.

The Cambridge Examinations Evening Course - CAE is ideal if you already have a high standard of English and would like an internationally-recognised certificate to prove this.

The English evening course format is a good option for attaining the Cambridge ESOL Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) if you can’t take classes during the day.

Certificate of Advanced English: Course overview

  • The course gives you a wide range of language and exam skills needed to pass the Certificate of Advanced English (CAE)
  • CAE is the next level up from FCE and takes English language ability to the standard necessary for working in managerial positions.
  • The Certificate of Advanced English (CAE) Evening Course is for upper intermediate (CEF B2) to advanced (CEF C2) levels, and you will be sent an entrance test prior to starting.
  • Four lessons per week (55 minutes each) for 14 or 15 weeks. Lessons are on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6.30-8.30pm with a 10 minute break. Total lesson time per week: 3 hours and 40 minutes.
  • The minimum course entry age is 16 and the maximum class size is 12 students.
  • Expect to receive at least two hours of homework every evening.

Visas

If you require a visa, please note that because this course is for less than 15 hours a week, we understand it does not meet the requirements of the United Kingdom Border Agency (UKBA) for a General Student Visa (GSV).

Students can apply for a Student Visitor Visa (SVV) or Extended Student Visitor Visa to attend this course.
