General English Evening Course

Our General English Evening Course is perfect for busy people who want a part time English course in London. If you live or work in the capital, evening English courses are easy to fit around other commitments. The course runs twice a week and lessons are designed to help you improve English language skills.

This course is for students at low intermediate (CEF B1) to advanced levels (CEF C2) of English. If you are not sure of your level, please take our online English Language level test before you book.

Course overview

  • Four lessons a week (55 minutes each) for four, eight or 12 weeks. Classes are on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6.30-8.30pm including a 10 minute break. Total lesson time per week: three hours and 40 minutes.
  • This course covers core English language skills with an emphasis on improving your fluency and building confidence when speaking English.
  • The course helps build your confidence and teaches you how to get more out of London life and culture.
  • Low Intermediate is the minimum level of English needed to join this course. Please take our English Language test if you are not sure of your level.
  • The maximum class size is 14 students (average 10) and the minimum course entry age is 16 years.
  • Please note; for courses containing a public holiday there will be no reduction in course fees but classes will be rescheduled.

Visas

If you require a visa, please note that because this course is for less than 15 hours a week, we understand it does not meet the requirements of the United Kingdom Border Agency (UKBA) for a General Student Visa (GSV).

Students can apply for a Student Visitor Visa (SVV) or Extended Student Visitor Visa to attend this course.
