IELTS Preparation Four Week Course
The IELTS exam is a recognised English language qualification for entry into most universities, colleges and companies. Our Four-Week IELTS Preparation Course is made up of intensive lessons focusing on the academic skills for reading, listening, speaking and writing English needed to pass the IELTS test. International House London is a recognised IELTS test centre, so you can also take your IELTS exam in London if you wish.

Course overview
- 15 lessons per week (55 minutes each) for four weeks, Monday to Friday from 1.15 - 4.15pm with a 15 minute break. Total lesson time per week: 13 hours and 45 minutes.
- An entrance test must be taken prior to joining the Four-Week IELTS Preparation Course. You should be an intermediate (CEF B1) standard and above.
- The course focuses on academic English language skills, with a mock IELTS test and individual feedback on performance.
- An IELTS course book, supplementary book and practice test book are provided to support your studies.
- The minimum course entry age is 16, and the maximum group size is 14 students.
Visas
If you require a visa, please note that because this course is for less than 15 hours a week, we understand it does not meet the requirements of the United Kingdom Border Agency (UKBA) for a General Student Visa (GSV).
Students can apply for a Student Visitor Visa (SVV) or Extended Student Visitor Visa to attend this course.
