Beginner French (General Programme)

Our Beginner French (General Programme) is an 11 week evening language course for people who want to learn to speak French in London. Classes are once a week on Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm-8.30pm.

You will study French in a small group and your teacher will use lots of interactive devices to help you understand basic words and phrases. Our beginner French classes are an excellent introduction to the language, with lots of opportunity in class for French conversation practice and listening tasks.

We offer French classes at eight different levels so you can progress at your own pace as your basic French conversation improves.

Beginner French: Course Overview

• Beginner French lessons at International House are dynamic and interactive. Your teacher will speak in French and use pictures, video clips, props and games to help you understand the language.
• We will assess your ability at lesson one, as well as monitoring your progress throughout the course, to make sure you are studying French at the right level.
• General French language courses are 11 weeks long and there are four 11 week terms each year.
• The average class size is 6-8 students (max 14), and the minimum age is 16.
