Elementary Continuation French (General Programme) is an 11 week evening course for people who want to learn to speak French in London. Classes are once a week on Thursday evenings from 6.30pm-8.30pm.

This level of French tuition is ideal if you have studied some French in the past. You will study in a small group, with lots of pair work and tasks to practise the French conversation skills you need for real-life scenarios.

Elementary French: Course overview
- French language teaching at International House is dynamic and interactive. Your teacher will speak in French throughout the lessons and use authentic material, audio clips, video and internet resources to help you learn useful and relevant language for everyday use.
- We will assess your ability at lesson one, as well as monitoring your progress throughout the course, to make sure you are studying French at the right level.
- General French language courses are 11 weeks long and there are four 11 week terms each year. Booking more than one term is cheaper if you take the courses back to back. To do this, select a 22, 33 or 44 week course duration at the level you want to start at, and you can arrange to move up a class each term once you are here.
- The average class size is 6-8 students (max 14), and the minimum age is 16.

How we teach
Learning a language at International House London focuses on speaking and doing rather than book learning. From lesson one your teacher will speak to you in the target language. Pictures, role play, props and film will help you understand quickly, making the learning experience dynamic and enjoyable. All our teachers are native speakers so you'll have the added benefit of an authentic insight into the culture and countries behind the language.
