Beginner German (General Programme)

Beginner German (General Programme) is an 11 week evening language course for people who want to learn to speak German in London. Classes are once a week on Wednesday evenings from 6.30pm-8.30pm.

You will study German in a small group and your teacher will use lots of interactive devices to help you understand basic words and phrases. Our beginner German classes are an excellent introduction to the language, with lots of opportunity in class for German conversation practice and listening tasks.

We offer German classes at eight different levels so you can progress at your own pace as your basic German conversation improves.

Beginner German: Course Overview

• Beginner German lessons at International House are dynamic and interactive. Your teacher will speak in German and use pictures, video clips, props and games to help you understand the language.
• We will assess your ability at lesson one, as well as monitoring your progress throughout the course, to make sure you are studying German at the right level.
• General German language courses are 11 weeks long and there are four 11 week terms each year.
• The average class size is 6-8 students (max 14), and the minimum age is 16.
