Intermediate German (General Programme)
Intermediate German (General Programme) is an 11 week German language course for people who want evening German lessons in London. Classes are once a week on Tuesday evenings from 6.30pm-8.30pm.
This level of German tuition is ideal if you can communicate in most simple situations. You can progress to the next level as your German conversation improves. Take our online German test if you are not sure which level to start at.

Intermediate German: Course overview
- German lessons at IH London are interactive and dynamic: your teacher will use authentic material, presentations and group exercises to help build your understanding.
- We will assess your ability at lesson one, as well as monitoring your progress throughout the course, to make sure that you always learn German at the right level.
- General German language courses are 11 weeks long and there are four 11 week terms each year. Booking more than one term is cheaper if you take the courses back to back. To do this, select a 22, 33 or 44 week course duration at the level you want to start at, and you can arrange to move up a class each term once you are here.
- The average class size is 6-8 students (max 14), and the minimum age is 16.
