Our German Survival Course: Two lessons a week is ideal if you are learning German language for the first time. (You can study Survival German once a week if you prefer).

Over five weeks, we will teach you the basic German words and phrases to get more out of a holiday or business trip. German lessons at International House are dynamic and interactive: your teacher will speak German and use props and pictures to help you understand.

Course overview

  • Survival German language classes focus on the practical language skills you need for travelling and socialising. Each lesson develops a language skill for a different tourist scenario.
  • The course runs twice a week on Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6.30-8.30pm for five weeks (20 lessons).
  • The average class size is 6-8 students (maximum 14) and the minimum entry age is 16 years old.

Take our online test to discover your language level and ability. When you arrive at IH London we will assess you in a first lesson (other languages) to ensure that you are studying with students of a similar level.
