Spanish Book Club: From B1 Intermediate

If you have a passion for Spanish literature, our modern languages book club offers a unique way to improve your Spanish language skills in a relaxed and informal setting.
IH London Spanish book club courses are suited for those with intermediate Spanish or above (from B1 Intermediate level). Each week there will be light refreshments and snacks to enjoy as you discuss the books.

Classes meet each Tuesday from 18.30 - 20.30.

Spanish Book Club Overview

• Your teacher will host these sessions talking about Spanish literature. Each week, speaking in Spanish you will discuss your reading with your tutor and Book Club members.
• Each course will focus on a different book. This autumn the book will be Esperadme en el cielo by Maruja Torres.
• Book description: Un cuento para adultos sobre la felicidad de no rendirse jamás.
  La narradora y protagonista se reúne en el Más Allá con sus amigos Terenci Moix y Manolo Vázquez Montalbán. Juntos pueden volver al pasado y revisitar los escenarios de su educación sentimental, así como desplazarse instantáneamente a cualquier punto que deseen.
  Esperadme en el cielo es un libro gozoso con el que Maruja Torres consagra su talento de narradora haciendo un uso fascinante de la libertad de géneros.
• The Spanish Book Club course lasts for six weeks and runs throughout the year excluding summer.
• You will study in a small group with an average class size of 6-8 students (max 14), and the minimum age is 18.
