Modern Languages student Danielle Thorne has won a place on Trafalgar Square's fourth plinth! For 100 days, the plinth is being occupied by a different member of the public for one hour, 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It's all part of Anthony Gormley's One & Other project.

Out of thousands of applicants, Danielle has won a slot at 7am on Monday 21 September 2009.

Danielle is studying Japanese at International House London. She has been so impressed with her teacher, Saori Nakazawa, that she has decided to use her hour's slot as a thank you to Saori.

What will she be doing?
Danielle will be teaching a Japanese lesson in traditional Yukata costume. The aim is to promote Japanese courses at International House London!
