IH London social programme 07 - 11 July

Monday 07 July:  We’ll be taking the students on a once in a generation opportunity as the Tour de France passes through London. With the number of Brits in the race quickly decreasing, its important to get behind last year’s winner Chris Froome. However, if you are of a Spanish or Italian persuasion then perhaps Alberto Contador or Vicenzo Nibali – wearing the yellow jersey today – will deserve your support. Either way, it’ll be an incredible atmosphere so come down to the Social Programme desk at 14.30 to be a part of the action.

Tuesday 08 July: If you’ve just arrived in London this week, there’s nowhere better to start than on a free walking tour of the capital. Our walking tour is so popular we’re offering it twice this Tuesday, once at 2:30pm and then again at 4:30pm. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for some sweet surprises!

Wednesday 09 July: Our Musical this week is Billy Elliot, one of London’s most popular shows, it’s a moving performance in many ways and we’re able to get a very special price. Come down to the Social Programme desk to book your tickets as soon as you can!

Thursday 10 July: We’ll be taking a trip to one of England’s finest castles in Windsor this week. You’ll get an audio guide as you view one of the Queen’s residential homes and an incredible piece of English History.

Friday 11 July: If you fancy yourself as a bit of a ‘clever clogs’ as we say in Britain, come down to our Pub Quiz on Friday. A British tradition where you’ll be sure to meet some interesting characters and chat to some fellow students, while we provide you with some excellent facts to wow your friends with.
