As well as the compulsory English Language Module, you can also choose to study the following Engineering options as part of your University Foundation Programme.

Advanced Mathematics

This course will extend your mathematical knowledge and skills. It will help you progress to a physics or engineering degree at a UK university.

Physics (Double Module)

This module is excellent preparation if you want to join a physics course at a UK university. The module focuses on the following topics:

  • Newtonian mechanics, including statistics, linear and rotational dynamics
  • The role of forces and energy in molecular structures of matter
  • The properties and thermodynamics of liquids and gases
  • The role of fields, particularly gravitational and electromagnetic fields
  • The description of natural phenomena and widespread occurrence of oscillations and wave motion, explored through from the physics of sound
