Executive English for Journalism

If you are a practising journalist or television correspondent, our English for Journalism course will improve your English for meetings, negotiations, telephone communication, presentations and interviews. The course is also suitable for postgraduate students and other business professionals with an interest in the media.

Course overview

  • Our one-to-one English for Journalism course is tailored to your personal requirements, and structured around the information provided in your pre-course needs analysis questionnaire.
  • As well as developing core English language skills, you will also study interview technique, politics, international news, broadcast journalism and the UK press.
  • The emphasis is on expanding active vocabulary, refining pronunciation, talking about current affairs and adapting writing skills to different journalistic styles.
  • Minimum entry level for our English for Journalism course is mid intermediate (CEF B1). You should also be 21 or over.
  • You can study this course intensively (six 55-minute lessons per day) or semi-intensively (three 55-minute lessons per day in the morning or afternoon).
  • If you study this course on a semi-intensive basis, we recommend that you combine it with a morning or afternoon Business English Group Course or Executive English group course .
  • English for Journalism can be run as a one-week programme for closed company groups.
