Executive English for Law

Our English for Law one-to-one course is intended for post-graduate law students, practising lawyers and other legal professionals whose first language is not English. Before the course starts, we assess your specific requirements and design a bespoke course based on your needs. You are assigned a dedicated teacher, with previous legal experience, who will help increase your oral fluency, accuracy and legal vocabulary.

Course overview

  • Our English for Law course helps you understand legal terminology; giving you practical experience of negotiations, presenting cases, advising clients, writing and summarising contracts and reading complex legal documents in English.
  • The course focuses on the British Legal System, Finance Law, Property Law, Commercial Agreements/Torts and Intellectual Property Rights. Current issues in the legal profession are also discussed.
  • Minimum entry level for our Executive English for Law Course is mid intermediate (CEF B1). You should also be 21 or over.
  • You can study this course intensively (six 55-minute lessons per day) or semi-intensively (three 55-minute lessons per day in the morning or afternoon).
  • If you study this course on a semi-intensive basis, we recommend that you combine it with a morning or afternoon Business English Group Course .You may wish to consider the new Cambridge ILEC Preparation Course .
  • Executive English for Law can be run as a one-week programme for closed company groups.
