IELTS test registration
Before you apply
To prevent your application being delayed it is vital you read the important IELTS test information BEFORE you start the registration process.
How to register online
You can now register to sit an IELTS exam online.
Registration is easy, simply follow the steps below.
1) Apply online
If you would like to take your IELTS test in LONDON, please complete our online application form.
Apply for your IELTS test online.
If you would like to take your test at our BRISTOL centre, please visit the International House Bristol website for instructions on how to apply.
2) Make your payment online
After you have submitted your online application, you can make your online payment. You should do this as soon as you can after you apply.
Pay for your IELTS test online now .
3) Submit the required documents
- Submit a scanned passport sized photo (please note: we cannot accept photos where a candidate is wearing glasses)
- Submit a scanned copy of your passport information page (the page with the photo, expiry date and your signature on it) or EU ID card.
Scan these documents and email to:

Please ensure you put your name and test date in the subject line of your email.
4) Confirmation Letter
Once your documents have been received and payment processed you will be sent a confirmation letter via email. Please check your email inbox as well as your junk inbox for any correspondence from our office.
How to register by post or in person
You can also register to sit an IELTS test by post or in person. If you would like to register in person, drop into the IELTS office inside the International House London building during opening hours, Monday to Friday from 10.30 - 11.30.
Alternatively you can download and complete the IELTS test application form and post it to us.
Registration is then easy, simply follow the four steps below.

2) Gather the required information
Include two passport sized photos (please note: we cannot accept photos where a candidate is wearing glasses); the full test fee and a photocopy of your passport information page (the page with the photo, expiry date and your signature on it). Cheques and postal orders should be made payable to International House IELTS.

3) Submit your application
Deliver your application in person during our office opening hours from 10.30 to 11.30 every weekday morning, or post your application to:

4) Confirmation Letter
If you come to register between 10.30 and 11.30 you will be given your confirmation letter in person. If you register online or post your application form to us or leave it at our reception desk, we will send you a confirmation letter by email. Please check your email inbox as well as your junk inbox for any correspondence from our office.
International House London processes a very high volume of applications so it can take up to two weeks for us to process your application and send your confirmation.
