Course Overview


Japanese Level 28 is an Upper Elementary Japanese course for students who have been studying the Japanese language for quite some time and who are wanting to progress to a more advanced level. Japanese Level 28 requires that you have previously studied Japanese Level 27 or a course of at least 324 class hours. Course Content


Communication points

– Reporting someone’s speech or information from another source without introducing
one’s own opinion.

– Expressing one’s opinion or assumption by observing a situation.

– Describe how one makes or lets someone do something, either by compulsion or giving

– How to make a polite request, asking the listener to allow one to do something.


Grammar points

– Plain form そうです

– Verb plain form / いadj ようです

– なadj plain form ~な ようです

– Noun plain form  ~の ようです

– Causative verbs

– Causative verb てform いただけませんか



– 天気(てんき)予報(よほう)によると あしたは 暑(あつ)くなるそうです。
– となりの 部屋(へや)に か いるようです。
– 娘(むすめ)を イギリスへ させます。
– こどもに ピアノを わせます。
– すみませんが、あした ませていただけませんか。

Course Information 


  • Average class size: 8 (maximum 14) 
  • Students must be 18+ years old 
  • Existing language ability: 324 class hours of previous Japanese language study required
  • Classes will take place at our school in Covent Garden (16 Stukeley Street, Holborn, London WC2B 5LQ) 


Class Schedule 


  • The classes are 2 hours per week 
  • The course runs for 6 weeks 
  • The course takes place on weekday evenings 18:30 – 20:30 
  • The possible study options for this course are as follow: 


Wednesdays: 21st August – 25th September 2024
