Free and low cost English lessons Online, streaming from London

These classes are low-cost because the teachers are learning to teach and have not yet qualified. The classes are FREE if you are a refugee, an asylum seeker or over 65 years old. 

Now you can study English conveniently online from the comfort of your home. 

You will study vocabulary and grammar and have a lot of speaking practice with enthusiastic teachers.

Lesson times

  • Monday to Friday, 2 hours per day (13.30-15.30)
  • Mondays and Wednesdays, 2 hours per day (10.00-12.00)
  • Mondays and Wednesdays, 2 hours per day (18.30-20.30)
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2 hours per day (10.00-12.00)
  • Tuesdays and Thursdays, 2 hours per day (18.30-20.30)

*If there is a bank holiday in your booking, your class will be on the Friday and not the Monday.

Course requirements

To get the most from this course you will need:

  • A reliable internet connection
  • A desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone
  • A web camera on or attached to the device you are using
  • An integrated microphone in the device you are using or an attached headset.
  • You will be sent all the details you need to connect to the IH London virtual classroom.
