The Space Challenge project teaches students (aged 12-17) STEM concepts in a fun, structured way and teaches them the basics of coding using the LEGO® MINDSTORMS® EV3 robot.

Course content

IH London Young Learner Course

 

Over the two-week course students will explore the challenges found in space travel whilst working towards building and programming a MINDSTORMS Ev3 robot to solve all the challenges on the mat. 

Students will have 4x 3 hour afternoon sessions each week with certified LEGO Education Academy trainers who will teach them the basics of coding. As well as coding students will develop 21st-century skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking and teamwork. 

At the end of the course students will show off their news skills in a competition to by programming their robot to do tasks with an awards ceremony at the end.
