IELTS One Skill Retake (OSR) is a new feature offering you the opportunity to retake just one section of IELTS – Listening, Reading, Writing, or Speaking, saving you time and money. The format and timing of the test is the same as the section which examines the individual skill in a normal IELTS test.
If you choose IELTS One Skill Retake, you will receive a second Test Report Form with your IELTS One Skill Retake score, the scores from your original test and an overall CEFR score. You can choose whether you would like to use your old or new Test Report Form for the skill you retook.
IELTS One Skill Retake is available to test takers who have completed a full IELTS on Computer test and must be booked within 60 days of the original IELTS test being taken.
A: You must complete IELTS One Skill Retake within 60 days of your original IELTS on Computer test.
A: You are allowed one One Skill Retake attempt for a single skill per original IELTS on Computer test. In other words, you can retake only one chosen skill (e.g., Listening) from the original test, and you have just one attempt to do so.
A: You are responsible for verifying if the organisation of your choice (e.g. University) accepts One Skill Retake. Please check the relevant organisation’s website or visit the British Council website for more information.
A: The One Skill Retake fee is £170 in the UK and £208 in Israel.
A: Yes, you will receive a new IELTS Test Report Form (e-TRF) containing your One Skill Retake score, alongside scores from your original test and the overall CEFR score. You will have two separate TRFs, both valid for two years.
A: The IELTS One Skill Retake is currently available only on a computer at selected centres and IHTA is one of them,

A: If you need to change your test date, you may do so at least 5 calendar days before the test. However, acceptance of your transfer request is subject to the availability of a new OSR date within the 60-day eligibility period. A £55 administrative fee applies. Transfer requests received less than 5 days before the test or after the test will be rejected. You can only transfer the same booking once.
A: Unfortunately, at the moment, IELTS One Skill Retake is only available to those who took their IELTS on Computer (Computer-Delivered IELTS).

After confirming your date and location, please pay the £170 fee for your One Skill Retake.
To do this, choose “One Skill Retake (IELTS on Computer)” from the dropdown menu, select the location that has been agreed with you, and then make your payment.

Once we have received confirmation of your payment, we will proceed with completing your booking.
You will receive an automated email confirmation with all the details of your One Skill Retake session, including the location, date, and time. You can also log into your Test Taker Portal to check these details.
