What safety precautions do you take on study trips?

All students are given excursion packs with a map, information about the area they are visiting and the school’s emergency phone that they can call if they get lost.

In addition, no student is allowed to leave IH centres without their student ID card, their IH lanyard and their IH wristband where the emergency phone number can also be found.

We complete risk assessments for all study trips and excursions. Risk assessments identify potential hazards, their severity and priority, and outline procedures to be followed to promote the safety and welfare of everyone on the trip.
