The Role:

As an IT Technical Support Officer, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the seamless operation of our IT infrastructure. You will provide first and second-line support, handling daily operations related to IT hardware, software, and AV systems. Your expertise will support our educational mission, ensuring all technical resources are optimally functioning for both staff and students.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows Desktop and Server OS, including DHCP, DNS, Group Policy, and Active Directory.
  • Address hardware, software, and network issues efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Provide ICT training/guides to staff when required; Respond to user enquiries and provide technical guidance and advice; Set up new starters, including an IT induction; ID cards configuration.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as system updates, virus scans, and data backups; ensure all CCTV and security systems are monitored and maintained; Documenting repairs/logs.
  • Communicate complex technical issues clearly to non-technical staff, fostering a supportive technology environment.
  • Maintain professionalism in all aspects of your work, from appearance to communication, setting a standard within the IT team.

 

What We’re Looking For:

  • A diploma or certification in IT, or relevant equivalent qualification/experience.
  • Strong background in IT with proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  • Good understanding and a working knowledge of Microsoft 365 Admin, SharePoint, Power Automate; Zoom, Adobe license management.
  • Exceptional analytical skills with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and manage time effectively, prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Strong customer-focused communication skills and a commitment to professional integrity and confidentiality.
