This week on the IH London social programme

The Social Programme is kicking into full gear as the hottest months of the year roll round.

This week we’ve got a full programme including a hot new show on the Southbank and a wine and cheese event to savour.

Monday 21 July - Street art exhibition

We’re going street art crazy on Monday with a trip to see the incredible ‘Unauthorised Banksy’ exhibition at Sotheby’s. With 3 rooms dedicated to some of the anonymous urban artist’s most famous works, there’s sure to be something for everyone from the casual observer to the graffiti obsessive. Who knows, the man himself might even be there.

Tuesday 22 July - Walking tour of central London

On Tuesday we’re once again offering the always popular walking tour of Central London. If you’re new to the city or even a veteran, you’ll be sure to learn a wide variety of interesting facts to impress your friends back home. Do you know why London telephone boxes are so tall? Or how about which green substance we like to have with our fish and chips? These are just a few of the questions that’ll be answered if you join us on Tuesday.

Wednesday 23 July - Chocolate making

On Wednesday we have the opportunity to make and eat your own chocolate. We don’t think we have to say much more than that to entice you. But in any case, it’s going to be a truly tasty experience.

Thursday 24 July - Circus performance

This Thursday the Social Programme will be going to a show unlike any other. LIMBO is a circus performance with a twist, performed in a very small venue, the fire and acrobatics will definitely impress. Don’t get too close though if you want to leave with your eyebrows still intact. Regardless, it promises to be an unforgettable experience.

Friday 25 July - Cheese and wine evening

On Friday we have a very special event at the school, as we offer a free cheese and wine evening where everyone can learn a few new words of a different language, or just enjoy some traditional British fare. Cheese and Wine may be more of a classically French evening but Britain wouldn’t be Britain if we didn’t take all the best parts of other cultures for our own! Meet at the social programme desk at 4.30pm for an evening to remember.

Join our social programme

To book a place on any of the above events and excursions visit the social programme desk on the ground floor, just past reception, between 12.15 - 14.15 Monday - Friday.
