Although a holiday to Italy is unbeatable, there is plenty of Italian culture to enjoy in London, and lots of resources available to help you with your Italian language studies. Take a look at a few of our tip tips and start perfecting your Italian now!

Authentic Neapolitan Pizza

Want a real slice of southern Italy? A true taste of Naples? Our Italian staff here at IH London recommend Sud Italia at Spitalfields market. This quirky van serves up delicious pizza, made from the highest quality ingredients imported straight from Italy. Offering just 6 different options, each pizza is crafted with real Neapolitan flare. Why not pay Sud Italia a visit and practise your Italian skills with the pizzaioli!

Practise your listening skills

A great way to improve your comprehension and confidence in a language is by listening. We recommend visiting Rainews24 where you’ll find live streaming of Italian news, both national and international, as well as features covering a variety of topics. The international stories are easier to comprehend given that the news is usually covered in the UK too, whilst the national news items are great for learning more about current affairs in Italy.

Explore Italian Cinema

Cinema Italia UK was founded in 2014 with the aim of promoting Italian films to British audiences, and giving Italian cinema a permanent home in the UK. There are 2 screenings a month at the historic Regent Street Cinema and Genesis Cinema in East London. Take a look at the upcoming screenings and enjoy immersing yourself in the Italian arts.
