Our Distance Delta graduates are located all over the planet. Many have travelled away from their home countries, and are now living across the world. Their stories and experiences are vastly different, but one thing they all have in common is the benefit of studying the Delta. In this blog, our graduates share the stories of how they found the Distance Delta course, and how their lives have changed since graduating.
Emy Pummer is Hungarian, and is currently living in the Apulia region of Italy.
Completing all the three modules of the DELTA in one year was one of the most difficult challenges of my life, but it definitely was the best decision I could have ever made. It was an amazing experience and it gave me a lot of knowledge.
I feel more confident about my abilities as a teacher and I am able to give my best to my students. I am more prepared when it comes to developing materials for a lesson, understanding, and catering for my students’ needs. I can evaluate them in a more efficient way and help them achieve their goals, whatever they may be.
Another great benefit of the DELTA experience was meeting other like-minded, determined and motivated teachers. I created long-lasting friendships that keep helping me grow both professionally and personally.
The best work opportunity I was given after having received this qualification was to become an EAP tutor at a pre-sessional course at a university of London. I am sure that I would have never been chosen had it not been for my DELTA certificate and the confidence it provided me with.

Mara is Argentinian, but is based in Dublin, Ireland. She studied the Distance Delta whilst living in Dublin.
“Since doing my Distance Delta a lot of door have opened for me. Doors I never thought I’d open. I’ve been able to become a teacher trainer for cert courses and later on a local tutor for Module 2 of Distance Delta, which I enjoy thoroughly and learn from with every single candidate and course.
I also get to understand my classes and analyse them in a more reflective and objective way, and I can finally forgive myself when something doesn’t work as I expected; because I now have the tools in practice that I was missing in some aspects of my teaching and reflective practice.
This diploma has allowed me to get better work opportunities as well, so now I work as an Academic Coordinator, job that satisfies me in great measure, and role I’m appreciated in. I believe if it weren’t for Delta I wouldn’t have had this chance.
Finally, I’d like to tell other candidates that your final module marks don’t really matter, they’re merely a number. What you gain from the experience and the kind of professional you decide to be after Delta is what matters the most.
Paul McMahon is from Ireland originally, but was living in Riyadh in Saudi Arabia when he took the Distance Delta course.
“I studied for parts one and three of the Delta while working in Saudi Arabia. My friend had just finished part one and recommended I study for it with the help of Distance Delta. I’m lucky he did because I have no doubt I couldn’t have managed it on my own.
Both parts involve a huge amount of work, study and sacrifice, but the team at Distance Delta were there for me every step of the way. They provide excellent direction, feedback and constant guidance to ensure their students are fully prepared for the task ahead.
I did a huge amount of work to prepare but never felt like I was swamped or spinning off in the wrong direction thanks to my immediate tutors. A great service and well worth the cost for anyone considering getting their DELTA.”

James Scholl is from the UK, and studied the Delta whilst living in Siberia.
“Taking the distance Delta while working as a DOS in the depths of Siberia was a great decision. There is no way that I would have got a distinction without the feedback from my tutor, and support from the team. It’s the ideal way to take your teaching and management skills to the next level, without taking time off work.”
Leanne is originally from the UK, but is now based in the UAE:
Due to completing my Delta during the COVID-19 pandemic, the experience was not what I had previously expected. Teaching and studying online meant that my days mainly consisted solely of this:

However, the support of the Distance Delta team helped me to push through and keep focused. After 3 long years, I have finally completed all 3 modules, and have just been offered a lecturer position in Qatar. I’m looking forward to using my new skills gained in the DELTA. Now, let the adventure begin…
Hannah is British, but is currently living and studying the Distance Delta from South China:
“I started my DELTA in 2019 and it was the best decision I ever made. It taught me many skills that I applied in class and class preparation. After I passed I was promoted to Teaching manager, where I can share my skills and train new teachers. The DELTA inspires me to constantly learn and develop as a teacher.”
