Our Japanese Private Groups are ideal for those who wish to study together privately, be they friends, family, colleagues or previous classmates who wish to progress together.
Our teachers are all native-level speakers with a deep understanding of the social and cultural use of the Japanese language. From improving social language skills to making business presentations, teachers base tuition on the needs and level of the group, so their studies are tailored to their exact requirements.

If you’re interested in doing a private group course with us, we would appreciate it if you provided us with more details regarding your requirements/availability/needs. This will allow us to find a suitable teacher and see if it’s possible to deliver a catered course to meet your linguistic needs and availability. The form takes only a few minutes to complete and will ask some simple questions regarding your needs and goals: NEEDS ANALYSIS FORM
Unless you are a beginner, it would also be helpful if you completed our JAPANESE TEST for us to better assess your current level and ability.
Once you complete the form and test, we will be in touch in discuss your course arrangements. We will need at least a week or two to put together a course syllabus and schedule, as well as find a suitable teacher. We can then either create a manual booking and invoice you, or you can book a block of hours through the website.
The private groups are ideal for highly-motivated learners and professionals who want to make quick progress in improving their communication skills and language.
- Students in the group should be at the same level. Lessons can be catered for groups of any ability, from beginner to advanced.
- Students must be over 18
- Classes can be a maximum of 12 students for online lessons or 14 for face-to-face.
- Lessons must be at least 90 minutes. Lessons can be at any time and on any day, but depend on the teacher’s availability.
Lessons times are flexible and the content can be tailored to your interests and capability. During a private group session, your teacher can focus 100% of their time and energy on addressing your needs and you will certainly benefit from the increase in attention.
You can either book a block of 12/15 hours of lessons, or you can organize more/fewer hours for an hourly rate of £142 (online) or £153 (face-to-face).
