Speaking with us, Nicolas explained why he decided to come to IH London.
Why did you come to IH London?
“I chose IH London because in the past I had taken a course for Advanced English in IH Recoleta, which is a local branch of IH.
Also, for some time I wanted to go abroad to study and IH London offered me the opportunity to do a one-month course which at the time was very good for me because it was the first time I was going to be by my own in a foreign country.”
Why do you want to take a Business English course?
“I’m quite close to finish my Bachelor’s degree in Economics and I thought that acquiring business vocabulary, practising meetings, presentations, negotiations and report writing in English would give me a plus in future interviews for jobs in my country.”
What have you liked about studying in London?
“The thing that I most enjoyed about studying in London is the vast diversity of nationalities that are here. I had the chance to make friends with people for Africa and the Middle East and I tried with them many different types of cuisine (Iranian, Lebanese, Turkish and Palestinian). I also learned a lot about their customs and religion.”
What would you say to someone thinking about taking a course with IH London?
“I would recommend that you take advantage of all the things that are on your disposal, from the Online Portal for students to the activities that James prepares for the Social Programme. I will also insist that you should always ask for homework after every class; you may only be able to do this trip once in your life so you must squeeze the most you can of it to enhance your English level.”
