How is English Language Teaching changing and how are we preparing teachers for these changes?  

We welcome proposals that explore how shifts towards multilingual practices, mediation skills, changing learner expectations, and evolving definitions of teacher expertise should influence the way we design, deliver, and assess teacher education programmes. 

Alongside this, we also invite sessions that address persistent challenges in teacher education, including (but not limited to): 

– supporting teacher learning and wellbeing in intensive training contexts 

– course and session design 

– assessment practices and feedback 

– inclusivity and equity in teacher education 

– professional identity development for teachers and trainers 

Sessions should be interactive and practically oriented, and may take the form of: 

– 40-minute workshops & collaborative problem–solving sessions 

– 40-minute talks with some planned participant engagement 

– panel discussion exploring a key theme (15 minutes per participant) 

To be successful, there must be a clear and explicit link to teacher education/training practice. 

We welcome proposals from: 

– CELTA, DELTA, and Trinity trainers and teacher educators 

– academic managers and teacher education leaders 

– MA TESOL / Applied Linguistics lecturers 

– experienced teachers moving into training or educational leadership roles 

First time speakers are warmly encouraged to apply.
