What Student Residences Do We Have?

IH London students are spoiled for choice when it comes to accommodation. We have 6 modern student residences scattered across London in Zones 1/2, from quiet leafy neighbourhoods to buzzing districts with lively nightlife and a plethora of bars and restaurants. In this blog, we share the details and perks of the 6 options to help you choose the best one during your stay in London.

 

Old Street (NEW)

 

Neighbourhood:

Located in Zone 1, Old Street is near London’s vibrant Hoxton and Shoreditch districts in East London. You’ll have plenty of entertainment at your doorstep with iconic areas like Brick Lane waiting to be discovered, and Shoreditch Park just down the road. On weekends, students can stroll around the colourful Columbia Road Flower Market and soak up the charming atmosphere.

Accommodation:

Old Street offers excellent value for money with a range of silver en-suite rooms.  The trendy rooms have a double bed with under-bed storage and a comfortable study area. Students have a private space for study and rest, as well as a well-equipped shared kitchen and living area to socialise.

Tufnell Park (NEW)

 

Neighbourhood:

Located in this quiet, leafy suburb in Zone 2,  Tufnell Park gives you a countryside feel and neighbourhood charm with easy access to central London. The surrounding area has great independent food and drink establishments and a few excellent live music venues, with the buzz of Camden just a short bus ride or Tube journey away. Chapter Portobello

 

Neighbourhood:

Chapter Portobello (Zone 2) is a tranquil student residence located on the canal in West London near the popular Notting Hill area. Students are a short walk away from the famous Portobello Road Market and picturesque Little Venice and with excellent links to many parts of central London.

Chapter Kings Cross

 

Neighbourhood:

Kings Cross (Zone 1) is well known for being one of London’s most exciting and well-connected neighbourhoods with excellent transport links across the city and country, as well as being a gateway for the rest of Europe. In the area, you have lots of eateries and bars in Coal’s Drop Yard, the Harry Potter 9 3/4 platform as well as Camden and Regent’s Park not too far away.

Accommodation:

Chapter Kings Cross has great modern facilities, which include an on-site gym, cinema room, games area with table tennis, pool table and table football, study areas, social spaces and a courtyard. Students can stay in roomy studios with a private bathroom and kitchenette.
