How to register for IELTS online

1) Apply online

Visit the International House Trust Assessment –  British Council IELTS Registration website HERE

You will find our test dates and locations for our Computer Delivered and Paper Based tests in the UK. You will be able to select your speaking test time and will be required to create your test taker area.

Once you complete your application, please remember to upload your ID document to your test taker area (Valid Passport, EU id document (both sides) or BRP card (both sides).

 

2) Make your payment online

After you have submitted your online application, you can make your online payment. You should do this as soon as you can after you apply.

You must make your payment within 24hrs of making your application.

3) Confirmation of application

Once your application has been received and payment processed, you receive a confirmation email from the British Council.

3) Confirmation letter

The confirmation letter will be sent to your email 4-5 days before your test.

It will include:

  • Important test day information
  • A timetable for the day
  • Full venue address
  • A map to the venue
