Online Mandarin Level 4 is an Elementary Mandarin course for students who have already studied some Mandarin. Online Mandarin Level 4 requires that you have previously studied Mandarin Level 3 or a course of at least 36 class hours.  

Our Online Mandarin language classes take place via Zoom with a qualified, experienced teacher and fellow students. The interactive lessons emulate our face-to-face classes, and via teacher screen-sharing, students are able to experience a live classroom environment. From vocabulary activities and covering grammar points on the white board, to listening exercises, file sharing and ‘break-out rooms’ to practise speaking with classmates, students can learn without leaving the comfort of their homes. Communicative aims

– Working on pronunciation 

– Building up simple sentence structures and gaining confidence in speaking 

– Communicating in spoken Chinese within a beginner’s range of commonly encountered situations 

– Building on “Hanzi” characters outlining stokes and structures 

Linguistic aims

– Expressing one’s likes and dislikes 

– Speaking about daily routine and hobbies 

– Expressing opinions 

– Asking simple questions, such as “is this/is that? Are you/are they? Are these/those…? 

– Asking “what, who, whose” questions

Online Mandarin Level 5 is an Elementary Mandarin course for students who are already in the process of learning Mandarin. Online Mandarin Level 5 requires that you have previously studied Mandarin Level 4 or a course of at least 48 class hours. 

Our Online Mandarin language classes take place via Zoom with a qualified, experienced teacher and fellow students.
