Polish Level 7 | Evenings

  • Course Details

Polish Level 7 is a Pre-Intermediate Polish course for students who have already studied some Polish. Polish Level 7 requires that you have previously studied Polish Level 6 or a course of at least 72 class hours. 

Our Polish language classes take place at our school in Covent Garden with a qualified, experienced teacher and fellow students. Evening language classes at IH London are dynamic and interactive as the emphasis is on spoken communication, which is achieved through lots of group work and role-plays. At the same time, there is systematic work on grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation, so that you can improve on all aspects of the language. Your teacher speaks in the target language throughout, so that you can refine your comprehension and listening skills.

Polish Level 8 | Evenings

Polish Level 8 is a Pre-Intermediate Polish course for students who have already studied some Polish. Polish Level 8 requires that you have previously studied Polish Level 7 or a course of at least 84 class hours.

Polish Level 9 is a Pre-IntermediatePolish course for students who have already studied some Polish. Polish Level 9 requires that you have previously studied Polish Level 8 or a course of at least 96 class hours.

Polish Level 11 | Evenings

Polish Level 11 (A2) is a Pre-Intermediate course for students who have been studying Polish for a while. It is recommended that you have previously studied Polish Level 10 or a course of at least 120 class hours. If you’re unsure whether this level is right for you, we recommend taking our placement test or contacting the Foreign Language Department, as a more suitable course may be available for you.
 
Our classes take place at our school in Covent Garden with qualified, experienced teachers.
 
Classes at IH London are dynamic and interactive as the emphasis is on spoken communication. Lessons are primarily taught in Polish and include interactive activities like group work and role-plays to boost confidence and fluency. Our courses help you use Polish in everyday situations, while building core skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
 
After Level 11, continue your learning with Level 12. Progression is based on your class participation and self-study—there are no formal tests. To help you better understand our level system, check our level chart.

By the end of your course, you should be able to:

 
– Talk about different types of sports and sporting activities
– Express goals, plans, and intentions in everyday situations
– Understand and describe recipes, ingredients, and cooking methods
– Use gerund forms (e.g., czytanie, bieganie) correctly in context
– Build complex sentences using relative pronouns (który, która, które)
– Express purpose using clauses with żeby, aby, and po to, żeby
– Use and decline collective numerals (e.g., dwoje dzieci, troje ludzi)
– Apply appropriate vocabulary related to sports, goals, and food
– Pronounce collective numerals and gerunds clearly in speech
– Adjust intonation when expressing intentions and giving instructions
– Gain cultural knowledge about sports and traditional foods in Poland
