The aims of the International House Accommodation Office are:

To place our students with hosts who will provide them with a warm and welcoming place to live and study during their stay in London

To provide advice and support to hosts in their provision of the service to the student.

To provide support for our students and ensure they have an enriching and positive experience with their homestay family

Key information for new hosts

  • International House is looking for suitable single, twin and double rooms with the following board types:

  • Bed and breakfast

  • Breakfast and 7 evening meals

  • Breakfast and 4 evening meals

(Hosts are not expected to supply lunch, unless agreed in advance.  This is not a usual request so if this was required we would discuss the payments for this at the time)

 

Homestay categories                           

There are 3 categories for single rooms depending on the levels of quality and facilities offered.  Our most popular category with students is Standard.

  • Executive Homestay with private bathroom

The representative from the International House Accommodation Office that visits your home is responsible for allocating the category to your property.  Their decision will be final.
 
UNDER 18 STUDENTS
Our students are of all ages, although typically they are between 18 to 30 years of age.  We do host under 18 students and we are very interested in welcoming new hosts who will be willing to take students aged 16 and 17.
