We love learning Spanish – ¡Nos encanta estudiar español! Spanish classes at IH London are just the beginning of all the ways to enjoy Spanish language and culture here in London. Take a look at few of our recommendations this month.
Partnership with Casa Manolo Restaurants
At IH London we are delighted to announce a brand new partnership with Casa Manolo restaurants. Specialising in jamón ibérico, tapas and other Spanish products, the Casa Manolo team arrived in London from their hometown in Salamanca in 2014, and since then have been wowing London crowds with their authentic cuisine. Casa Manolo now have restaurants on The Strand, and in Clapham Junction, Angel, Putney and Chelsea. We are really looking forward to working with the team and bringing a piece of Casa Manolo culture to our Spanish classes at International House!

Practise your Spanish and indulge in delicious tapas

Flamenco Night!
Have a passion for Spanish music? Come to Casa Manolo’s Flamenco Night on the 7th of February at the Clapham Junction restaurant! Performer Lola Rueda will be leading the show and performing some Andalusian classics between 20.00-22.00.

Practise your listening skills
A great way to improve your comprehension and confidence in a language is by listening. We recommend visiting RTVE‘s website and heading to the Noticias area. There you’ll find lots of short news videos covering both national and international topics. The items are digestible for language students and great for brain training.

Rock out to some Spanish hits!
Love listening to music while you commute? Why not switch out your usual tunes for the IH Spanish Language Spotify playlist and check out some of the latest hits in the language, as well as some well known classics!

Don’t forget, IH London students receive 10% off at The European Bookshop. The store has a wide range of options for all levels, from self-study books to easy-readers and popular novels. Whether you’re at beginner level or nearly fluent, the store has something for you!
