Teach English as a Foreign Language

Today our Teacher Training department runs a wide range of English teaching certificates for people who want to teach second language English in the UK and abroad:

• CELTA training full-time, part-time and online
• Delta qualifications with full-time, distance and blended learning options.

Teach European Languages

We also train non-native English speakers to teach other European languages to adults with the IH Certificate in teaching languages to adults for French , German , Italian and Spanish .

A Centre of Excellence

IH London is recognised by the British Council and Accreditation UK as a centre of teacher training excellence in English Language Training (ELT) and Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TESOL). Our CELTA teacher training qualification is validated by Cambridge ESOL, as is our Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults (Delta) .

Other Training Opportunities

We run refresher courses for English language teachers who want to update their skills. You can watch our teachers and teacher trainers in action with our 15-disc Teacher Training DVD series . With lesson plans, worksheets and answer keys, it's a fantastic resource for English language teachers.
