International House London has over 50 years of experience in training people to teach English as a foreign language. Today our Teacher Training department runs a wide range of English teaching certificates – including the CELTA and Delta qualifications – for people who want to teach second language English in both the UK and abroad.
We also train non-native English speakers to teach other European languages to adults. The IH Certificate in teaching languages to adults can be taken in preparation for teaching French , German , Italian or Spanish as a foreign language.
IH London is recognised by the British Council and Accreditation UK as a centre of teacher training excellence in English Language Training (ELT) and Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TESOL).
Our CELTA teacher training qualification is validated by Cambridge ESOL, as is our Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults (Delta) . We also run refresher courses for English language teachers who want to update their skills.
