Learn to teach primary school-aged children (age 6 -11 years ) who are learning English as an additional language to their first language.
Who is this course for?
Teaching Young Learners is for teahcers who would like to teach ages 6 -11, primary school age. The course is aimed at qualified in-service language teachers teaching English and using English as the instructional language. To enrol on this course, you will need to possess a recognised pre-service teaching qualification and a level of English between B2 and C2 on the CEFR.

–select and use implicit and explicit language teaching techniques based on your learner’s age and abilities

Teaching Young Learners combines a wide range of practical teaching ideas with an exploration of contemporary methodology and practices for teaching English to young learners (TEYL).
As a course participant, you will benefit from valuable insights into the implementation of YL-appropriate activities, tasks, procedures and approaches, helping you become a more confident practitioner and providing you with a range of fresh ideas and frameworks which you can adapt and use, time and time again.
