For primary and secondary level teachers of English, IH London is launching its new fully online CELT-P and CELT-S courses for teachers all over the world to improve their skills working with Primary and Secondary students. Trainees will benefit from blended learning, self-study, live input sessions, observations and feedback from the expert trainers at IH London. Both the CELT-P and CELT-S courses are suitable for teachers with a B1+ level of English.
Both courses are designed for teachers of English as a foreign language. The CELT-P focuses on teaching primary level students, meaning ages 6-12, whilst the CELT-S focuses on secondary students, ages 11-18. The course will help teachers get the best from their students, by developing their classroom skills and teaching confidence.

The online nature of this course, combined with its large focus on self-lead study, means that people from across the planet will be able to take part, boost their skills and develop their career.
Focusing on strategies, methods, management and helping learners achieve their potential, the CELT-P and CELT-S are fantastic alternatives to the CELTA for those who wish to focus their language teaching on Young Learners.
The 9 months course for those of a minimum B1 level of English requires trainees attend one online live input class a month, whilst the rest of the course will be self-study and assessments. There will be approximately 12 hours a month of self-study, and 2 hours a month of assessments. This will allow teachers to fit the qualification around their schedule.

The course also includes multiple teaching observations to help consolidate and put online learning into practice, as well as acting as a chance to receive developmental feedback from expert IH London trainers. You will be observed in your own teaching context, teaching your own students.
Both of the new CELT-P and CELT-S courses will allow teachers to experience the top quality training which IH London has to offer, to a schedule that suits them, from anywhere in the world.
