All of the information we receive through the various types of analysis we do prior to a student’s arrival is passed onto the teacher before your first lesson with them. However, it is only once you meet your teacher that you will be able to develop a full plan to work towards with your teacher.
All our 1:1 classes are tailored to meet your needs as the student. Before you begin your classes with us you will undertake different types of analysis. You will take a short level test online to assess your level English, and you will be asked to complete a needs analysis so we can understand more about who you are. Additionally, we can arrange for you to speak with one our academic team who can assess further understand and assess you needs. This will then be passed on to the teachers who will plan your lessons according to what you need to study.
The content of your lessons can be flexible and adjusted over time. As you progress, the teachers continuously evaluate your development and they can adapt the lesson plans to ensure they remain relevant and challenging. Whether you need to focus on conversation skills, exam preparation, business English, or any other area, your lessons will be customised to help you achieve your goals efficiently and effectively.
Can I choose my own timetable?
Lessons can take place Monday-Friday between 8am and 9pm UK time. We always work with students to arrange classes at the time that best suits them, however, sometimes we need to be flexible based on the availability of teachers.
Lessons are based on the needs of the students. For example, someone preparing to take an exam would have a very different style of lessons compared to someone who is preparing to deliver a presentation at a conference. Also, the number of hours needed will vary depending on what a student’s objective is. For example, someone who is a beginner and has the goal of working in an English-speaking environment would need many more hours than someone starting as an intermediate level student.
Teachers can travel to locations away from the school. There would be an additional cost involved. Alternatively, we can arrange for online classes if that were more convenient.
Trial lessons is not something that we offer. We appreciate it is a commitment to book a course of lessons with us, however, we believe that by working with students before they begin their lessons we can help to ensure a positive experience and learning opportunities.
